Our team prides ourselves on being honest, respectful, and putting the customer first. While we work hard on-site, we translate that same work ethic off-site to ensure your experience is satisfying through the entire process.
Don Collyer founded DW Collyer and Sons alongside his friend.
Mike Collyer begins working for DW Collyer and Sons.
Mike and his wife Julie purchased the business to become co-owners together. They changed the name to Collyer Construction during this time as well. Together they have grown the company from a crew of 3 people, to up to 19 employees at one point.
Our original shop was destroyed by fire and we moved to a building across the street. We have since rebuilt the company and have been serving our area out of our current location!
Through the rapid growth of both the company and technology, Mike hung up the tool belt and focused on the value of his customers and priding himself in giving them a full-focused building experience. Though the company has been growing ever since, the values of being a small-town construction company have remained the same.

With Riding Mountain National Park being so beautiful and Clear Lake being one of the most unique lakes within Parks Canada, we have the deepest respect for the architecture and history within the buildings of Wasagaming and the Onanole, Clear Lake area. Collyer Construction aims to maintain that same uniqueness and integrity into our builds.
Every member of our team is well experienced and has been with Collyer’s for several years. Our team plays an important role, not only in the ongoing success of our business but also in the seamless progress of every single project.

We have developed our team from 2 members to a current 13 with a wide variety of skill sets and services. The core of our team has been with us for close to 10 years and have added to this throughout. Our team of experienced craftsmen and carpenters offers a unique blend of expertise and creativity that supports our clients’ needs. Our hands-on experience and knowledge of building systems combine to form a solid foundation for the specialized services and attention to detail that we provide.
